We would like to invite you to join us on January 27th, 2017 from 2:00 – 6:00pm in the Art Building Lobby to participate in a series of FREE workshops and positive engagement sessions celebrating our diversity in the face of hateful and divisive rhetoric taking place on campus. Everyone is welcome to attend and we encourage you to send this announcement out to anyone who you think might be interested. Flyers are being placed around campus and a Facebook event page will be launched this evening. Additional digital flyers will be sent out in the coming days leading to the event.
An ASL interpreter will also be present.
Parade Banner Making with Ellen Babcock
Sign and T-Shirt* Screen Printing with Katelyn Bladel and Babak Shahsiah
Everyday Resistence Tactics discussion with Lee Montgomery
Power Pose Aerobics with Sallie Scheufler
*Be sure to bring a light-colored shirt to print on 🙂
Please let us know if you happen to have any materials which you would like to donate, such as red/black inks for screen printing, cardboard or poster board (larger than 17×22″), and/or poles for attaching to signs.
Thank you to everyone who has given their time, effort and guidance in the development of this event. In addition to being a fun and positive gathering, we hope this will also be an educational opportunity for students and an affirmation of their immeasurable, unique value within our wonderfully diverse community.
We look forward to seeing you all on Friday!
