Join in the opening celebration for the Heart of the City exhibition! Heart of the City is an arts collaboration exploring the urban environment, posing the question: What does the condition of the city’s urban core say about the heart and soul of the city? This project centers around an exhibition at 516 ARTS that features a series of projects created by lead artists with student apprentices or collaborators from 13 organizations representing arts, education and small business.
Doors open to the general public at 6pm. Festivities include music with beatboxer extraordinaire Zack Freeman, free haircuts in the gallery with ACE Barbershop and Gabriel Jaureguiberry spinning records. Edible delicacies generously provided by Gold Street Caffé and beer on tap available from Tractor Brewing.
Featuring Lee Montgomery, Randall Wilson, and a lecture by Kym Pinder.
