POSITION AVAILABLE

POSITION: Assistant Professor of Art Education. Probationary appointment leading to a tenure decision. 1.0 FTE. In addition to scholarship, service and committee work are expected.

SALARY: $55,000

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Art Education from an accredited institution by the time of appointment. One semester of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in art education, including the area of art teaching methodologies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: One year of experience beyond the TA level teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in art education, including the areas of art teaching methodologies and research in art education. One year of experience coordinating and supervising student teachers. Evidence of scholarly research. Evidence of studio practice research. Demonstrated aptitude to participate in a collaborative working environment. Demonstrated familiarity with and application of new technologies and K-12 teaching experience. A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
