Previous Scholarship Recipients >>>

Make sure you meet the general requirements listed below. All scholarships will be awarded during the 2014-2015 academic school year. Please turn in all application materials no later than March 31, at 5 p.m. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Scholarship recipients will be notified by the end of July.

General scholarship requirements for undergraduate students:

  • Enrolled in CFA at least one semester, semester in progress included
  • 3.2 GPA
  • 24 hours completed in the major, including current courses
  • If Art Studio, 12 hours completed in area of emphasis, including current courses
  • Full-time student with 6-9 hours in art during application period and duration of the award
  • Complete application received by the deadline

General scholarship requirements for graduate students:

  • Enrolled in a degree-granting program in the Department of Art and Art History for at least one semester, semester in progress included
  • 3.5 GPA
  • Full-time student
  • Complete application received by the deadline

Land Arts Thesis Project Grants

Land Arts of the American West is offering grants of up to $5,000 to support former Land Arts students completing graduate thesis projects. Students must have a LAAW faculty member on their graduate committee to be eligible. Proposals articulating the thesis project, date, and location of venue for presentation and a detailed budget are due by Jan 1, 2014.

Land Arts International Research Grants

Land Arts of the American West is offering up to $5,000 in funding to support international research projects. Funds can be used to support projects with existing Land Arts partners in Australia and Greece or new student generated initiatives. Proposals are due Feb 15. 2014.

Land Arts Post MFA Research Grant

Land Arts of the American West is offering grants up to $15,000 to support post MFA research projects. Awards are available to students graduating this year or in any of the previous two years. (2012-2014) Proposals articulating the research project focus, budget and plans for presentation/publication are due by March 15, 2014.
