The art I am making is the quickie against the wall under the stairwell, the lust between 3rd period and lunchbreak. My desire is the way a drummer fidgets at a table, ignoring the meal, to idle percussively with cutlery. The urgency of my unmade work makes me top-heavy, impulsive, agonizingly full; a mutt dog in the vacant lot waiting to birth 13 pups.
As a multidisciplinary, conceptual artist, navigating parenthood, partnership and poverty, I work quickly and economically, seeking utilitarian solutions. I intuit my way through paint, film, fine-tipped pens, exploring pregnancy, sex, intimacy, trauma, dissociation, and queer identity.
