I create for the unseen and overlooked, using a variety of media and techniques, because no subject matter has a single facet. My art is about dualism and identity. The mother and the addict, the delicate and the dangerous—these are given equal presence and value in the work.
I aim to uncover the real and the perceived, the internal and external, attempting to illuminate the contrast between them. The layers of materials reflect the complexity of my relationship with what, or who, I depict. Each stroke of paint, pencil, or ink is an affirmation of identity, searching for the underlying connection in all things.
