My artwork tends to toggle between idealization of external space and a deconstructed narrative using monstrous and mythic figures.

My painting tends to address landscape in its free, escapist nature. We project almost divine-like qualities upon our land, to be our protector, to be our god, to be our eternal western escape.  It can tend to address the nationalistic narrative around landscape and the issues involving the idea of free space or free land.

My drawings tend to address alienoid figures with exaggerated features of the human experience. Pain, anger, the power of historical narrative, these ideas can be expressed in interesting ways through these monstrous and mythic figures.
