KHUTSO EDGAR PAYNTER There is an impossibility that exists within my paintings and despite knowing this, I do it anyway. Again and again. Knowing that within the humanity of a mark there is inherent failure. And yet, wholly necessary. I’m not defeated by painting but I should be.
