Visiting Artist Talk with Tristram Lansdowne

April 9 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Tristram Lansdowne’s practice explores representations of organized space, considering the ways in which architecture is used to express desire and control. Through a rigorous and exact approach to watercolour painting, he examines the psycho-spatial content of domestic architectural space, paying particular attention to the effects of globalized design culture and digital rendering technologies and by examining the nature of the architectural ideal, Lansdowne asks what it says about our conceptions of place.

SMLC, ROOM 102

Brought to you by the Painting and Drawing area in The Department of Art and the RAIR-Roswell Artist in Residence Program, where Tristram is an artist in residence for the 2024-25 season.
