Congratulations to Ellie Kane, doctoral candidate in Spanish Colonial Art History, who is the new Curator of the Health Sciences Art Collection here at UNM. In this capacity, she will also join the Committee for Public Art and the Foundation Committee where she will work with donors and donations. As most of us who live in Albuquerque know, the University of New Mexico Hospitals exhibit works of art in their public spaces. These works are drawn from the Health Sciences collection, which contains works by canonical, well-known artists, as well as works by regional and local artists. This is a wonderful opportunity to shape that collection and share it with the community
